Rookie and surfing world champ
dimanche 30 décembre 2007 –
For the first time in the ASP World tour, a rookie has won the championship. Stephanie Gilmore, 19 yo, wins the 2007 ranking ahead of Peruvian Sofia Mulanovich and Silvana Lima from Brazil.
This year, Stephanie Gilmore has won 4 of the 8 events of the circuit. She has won the Rip Curl Pro, the famous Bells Beach, the NAB Beachley Classic in Sydney, the Mancora Peru Classic and the Billabong Girls Pro in Hawaii.
She has won more than 86000 dollars this year, enough to double a total of gains from the time she entered in the professional circuit. We can be sure we will see again Stephanie Gilmore in 2008 as one big pretender to succeed to heurself. But for the month of december, she is the SeaSailSurfeur of the month.

On said kitesurfing is not sailing. Other said the Luderitz Speed Challenge’ spot is not deep enough. But the channel in Namibia is a fixed place with 500 meters marks and is more than 80 cm deep. As the competition will be sailed aboard wingsailed catamarans, he made the trophy, and sport sailing competition, entering the third millenary. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month. -

SeaSailSurfer of August 2010 : Bertrand Delesne
August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month !

En ce 18 novembre 1990, la nuit tombe sur Pointe-à-Pitre. Pierre 1er et ses coques dorées fendent la légère houle jusqu’à la ligne d’arrivée. Une nuée de bateaux accompagnent Florence Arthaud à la barre de son trimaran. Dans quelques minutes, elle sera la première femme à remporter une transatlantique en course en solitaire. -

Ce dimanche 16 novembre à 15h 33mn 44s, Louis Burton a franchi la ligne d’arrivée de la 10e Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe. Le skipper de Bureau Vallée a mis 14 jours 1 heure 33 minutes et 44 secondes pour boucler le parcours de 3 542 milles à la vitesse moyenne de 10,49 nœuds. Il a parcouru en réalité 4 273 milles à 12,66 nœuds de moyenne. -
