Rookie and surfing world champ

For the first time in the ASP World tour, a rookie has won the championship. Stephanie Gilmore, 19 yo, wins the 2007 ranking ahead of Peruvian Sofia Mulanovich and Silvana Lima from Brazil.
This year, Stephanie Gilmore has won 4 of the 8 events of the circuit. She has won the Rip Curl Pro, the famous Bells Beach, the NAB Beachley Classic in Sydney, the Mancora Peru Classic and the Billabong Girls Pro in Hawaii.
She has won more than 86000 dollars this year, enough to double a total of gains from the time she entered in the professional circuit. We can be sure we will see again Stephanie Gilmore in 2008 as one big pretender to succeed to heurself. But for the month of december, she is the SeaSailSurfeur of the month.

On said kitesurfing is not sailing. Other said the Luderitz Speed Challenge’ spot is not deep enough. But the channel in Namibia is a fixed place with 500 meters marks and is more than 80 cm deep. As the competition will be sailed aboard wingsailed catamarans, he made the trophy, and sport sailing competition, entering the third millenary. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month. -

August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month !

Jean-Pierre Dick et Loïck Peyron ont largué les amarres à 11h11 [1] (heure française) précises après 48h de pit-stop à Wellington. Cette escale technique non prévue a été menée dans le temps imparti, par l’équipe de Luc Bartissol sur place et supervisée par Nicolas Abiven, le directeur technique du Virbac-Paprec Sailing Team. -

DCNS veut construire des centrales nucléaires sousmarines
Flexblue... Joli nom pour... une centrale nucléaire ! Il s’agit d’une petite centrale nucléaire immergée (voir la vidéo ci-dessous) qui permettrait de produire de l’électricité à proximité des côtes. Le premier prototype devrait être réalisé à Cherbourg en 2013. -
