On December 3rd, Michel Desjoyeaux wasback in the top 10 of the Vendée Globe, 3 weeks after his second start from Les Sables d’Olonne. At the end of the month, he is the leader. Mich’Desj is the SeaSailSurfer of December.
New record holder around the world : The man of the month has done an increadible round the world sailing. Francis Joyon has beatten Ellen MacArthur’s previous record by 14 days, coming back to Brest in 57 days and 13 hours.
Francis Joyon is the only sailor in the world able to sail during 26,000 nautic miles at the average speed of 19 knots. At the helm of his 30m long trimaran, Idec 2, he broke the greatest of the solo records getting back to himself Dame Ellen’s trophy. More… by sailing around the world in 57 days, he made the second best performance of the times as only Orange 2 and Bruno Peyron’s Crew were able to do better in lesss than 51 days.

As the competition will be sailed aboard wingsailed catamarans, he made the trophy, and sport sailing competition, entering the third millenary. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month.
August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month !
