Tanguy de Lamotte belongs to those who believed in Class40 from the beginning. He is rewarded for his efforts since he won, with Adrien Hardy, the first edition of the Solidaire du Chocolat.
SeaSailSurfer of February 2009 : Michel Desjoyeaux
Double winner of the Vendée Globe. No surprise. The SeaSailSurfer of the month.is no one else than Michel Desjoyeaux, aka « the Professor ». Foncia’ skipper has dominated the race around the world and becomes the first one to win twice the Vendée Globe.
The generation of this first decade of the XXIth century will be the Desjoyeaux generation as the Breton sailor form Port-La-Forêt has won every single-handed race from La Solitaire du Figaro to the Route du Rhum.
In the previous generation, two men had won two solo round the world race. Philippe Jeantot and Christophe Auguin had won the BOC Challenge (actual Around Alone). But these round the world races had few stop-overs when the Vendée Globe is non-stop. Auguin himself did won three round the world races as he also won the Vendée Globe in 1995-1996.
For the 2000 generation, Desjoyeaux will be the lightroom and he is the SeaSailSurfer of February.

Thomas Ruyant is the SeaSailSurfer of 2010
689 votes made the SeaSailsurfers of 2010. The male winner is Thomas Ruyant, winner of the Route du Rhum in Class40. He did it one year after his win in the solo Transat 650. And he is so popular he wins the title of SeaSailSurfer of the year ahead of the funboarder Antoine Albeau (Sailor of the year for the french federation) and ahead of (…) -

Jeremy Flores has won the Billabong Pipe Master, the last event of the 2010 ASP World Tour. Defaiting Kelly Slater in the semis, is the first European surfer to win this great event, the first french to win an event in the ASP circuit. He is the SeaSailSurfer of December. -

On said kitesurfing is not sailing. Other said the Luderitz Speed Challenge’ spot is not deep enough. But the channel in Namibia is a fixed place with 500 meters marks and is more than 80 cm deep. When kitesurfers and windsurfers sail there, there are truly in the spirit of the original Weymouth and Brest Speed Weekds. Their records are not (…) -

Russell Coutts, the boss of the american Defender, BMW Oracle Racing, has made younger the older sport trophy of the world. As the competition will be sailed aboard wingsailed catamarans, he made the trophy, and sport sailing competition, entering the third millenary. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month. -

SeaSailSurfer of August 2010 : Bertrand Delesne
August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month !

Championnat du monde I14 : Glen Truswell et Sam Pascoe ont remporté le titre
Vendredi était le dernier jour de compétition du Championnat du Monde I14. Les concurrents ont eu une très belle journée de navigation, assez similaire à la veille. Sur l’eau il y avait un grand soleil et du vent d’ouest entre 10 et 14 nœuds, parfait pour terminer la compétition en beauté. -

Tour de Corse en cata de sport : tentative avortée pour Eric Defert et Florian Ottaviani
Le navigateur Finistérien Eric Defert et Florian Ottaviani de la Société Nautique d’Ajaccio s’étaient élancés dimanche 28 août aux alentours de 11H30 sur un "petit" Nacra F20 et sans assistance, au record du Tour de Corse à la voile détenu par Lionel Péan aux commandes du VOR 70 SFS (26 h 54 le chrono de référence à battre). -

Foiling Bay : Tim Mourniac et Tom Laperche vainqueurs dela 1re édition
Après 4 jours d’une compétition relevée dans la baie du Pouliguen - La Baule – Pornichet, la première édition de la Foiling Bay s’achève sur la victoire de l’équipage Tim Mourniac et Tom Laperche. Ce premier rendez-vous en Flying Phantom a été l’occasion de découvrir cette nouvelle discipline qui marque le début d’une grande aventure. -

Le vent, le soleil et le spectacle était au rendez-vous, ce dimanche, pour la dernière journée du Trophée Prince de Bretagne - Sud Goëlo. Un parcours côtier lancé le matin a consacré la victoire sans partage de Lalou Roucayrol à bord d’Arkema tandis que des runs de vitesse ont animé l’après-midi sous les yeux de nombreux spectateurs. -

At 10.00pm on Tuesday Rambler 88 helmed by Brad Butterworth crossed the finish line of the 12th Palermo-Montecarlo to take line honours.
