Tanguy de Lamotte belongs to those who believed in Class40 from the beginning. He is rewarded for his efforts since he won, with Adrien Hardy, the first edition of the Solidaire du Chocolat.
SeaSailSurfer of April 2009 : Gildas Morvan
Winner of the solo Transat BPE. One do not remember than Gildas Morvan, the giant skipper of the Figaro circuit is also a match-racer. He has competed with Bertrand Pacé, was 7th in the world rakings in 1994 and took part in the America’s Cup in Marc Pajot’s crew. By winning the Transat BPE , he is the SeaSailSurfer of the month.
« My experience with Marc Pajot for the America’s Cup and in the Soling class helped me a lot. I kew the race would finish in a close neck. And I had this plus against the others… And this was helpfull in the close final match with Erwan. I knew what I had to do to control him, I was not lost… It helped me a lot, for sure » saif Gildas after his arriving in Marie-Galante.
Finaly, the Breton skipper takes the win for 4 minutes and 4 seconds. So bad for Erwan Tabarly who looks for a great win.

Thomas Ruyant is the SeaSailSurfer of 2010
689 votes made the SeaSailsurfers of 2010. The male winner is Thomas Ruyant, winner of the Route du Rhum in Class40. He did it one year after his win in the solo Transat 650. And he is so popular he wins the title of SeaSailSurfer of the year ahead of the funboarder Antoine Albeau (Sailor of the year for the french federation) and ahead of (…) -

Jeremy Flores has won the Billabong Pipe Master, the last event of the 2010 ASP World Tour. Defaiting Kelly Slater in the semis, is the first European surfer to win this great event, the first french to win an event in the ASP circuit. He is the SeaSailSurfer of December. -

On said kitesurfing is not sailing. Other said the Luderitz Speed Challenge’ spot is not deep enough. But the channel in Namibia is a fixed place with 500 meters marks and is more than 80 cm deep. Russell Coutts, the boss of the american Defender, BMW Oracle Racing, has made younger the older sport trophy of the world. As the competition will be sailed aboard wingsailed catamarans, he made the trophy, and sport sailing competition, entering the third millenary. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month. -

SeaSailSurfer of August 2010 : Bertrand Delesne
August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month !

Roland Jourdain remporte la première étape
Roland Jourdain (Sill Plein Fruit) et son équipage se sont imposés dans cette première étape à suspense de la Regata Rubicón. L’équipage vainqueur était suivi deux heures plus tard d’Ellen MacArthur (Kingfisher), juste devant Bernard Stamm (Bobst Group-Armor Lux) à seulement quarante minutes de la jeune anglaise. -

A un peu plus de 300 milles de l’arrivée, Roland Jourdain (Sill Plein Fruit), crédité de 50 milles d’avance sur son premier poursuivant, se méfie encore du retour par l’ouest de Bernard Stamm (Bobst Group-Armor Lux). A l’ombre du Phare de Calais
Tenues courtes et légères, lunettes noires, Calais a retrouvé son costume de station balnéaire pour accueillir la Course des Phares. Dès le petit matin des centaines de curieux arpentaient le quai Fournier visiblement ravis de découvrir la flotte des dix multicoques. L’équipe de France se déplace en Afrique du Sud
Mardi 21 mai, une solide équipe de France de surf s’envolera pour l’Afrique du Sud avec la ferme intention de rivaliser avec les meilleurs surfeurs de la planète, et remporter les 7 titres individuels mis en jeu et placer la France dans le top 5 des meilleurs nations « surfiques » . -

Roland Jourdain (Sill Plein Fruit) le craignait... c’est arrivé ! Bernard Stamm (Bobst Group-Armor Lux) n’est plus une menace, c’est une réalité. Partie de poker pour les 60 pieds
C’est une vraie partie de poker qui est en train de se jouer au large de la pointe Saint Vincent (pointe sud-ouest du Portugal) ! La dorsale a pris ses aises pendant la nuit et vit sa vie pleinement. Tête en l’air, elle s’est décalée et a rattrapé les joueurs version Est du tapis de jeu tandis qu’à l’ouest, Bobst Group-Armor Lux et Virbac (…) -

Ca gamberge sur l’Atlantique !
Quand les fichiers météo sont contradictoires… Qui croire ? Pas de doute, ça doit chauffer à blanc dans les cerveaux des navigateurs. Les uns parlent d’une dorsale à traverser dans le sud. Les autres d’une dépression à venir par l’ouest. Beaucoup s’attendent à une sacrée pétole pour la nuit prochaine. Ca gamberge sur l’Atlantique !
