Portugese sailor again winner • RAK receives the "paperboard surf"

For the second year, Portugese skipper Francisco Lobato is the SeaSailSurfer of the year. French 20’ cat offshore sailors Lequin and Moreau did thier best from their website but Lobato’ suporters were the best to promote the vote and they made their favorite skipper win the SeaSailSurf of 2009 title.

2009 Papaerboard Surf for RAK
The Paperboard surf this year goes to Ras Al Kaimah as the city was not able to organise the America’s Cup. Second is Jean Le Cam for his two capsizes in the Vendée Globe (60’ monohull) and at the start of the Transat Jacques Vabre ’50’ multihull).

On said kitesurfing is not sailing. Other said the Luderitz Speed Challenge’ spot is not deep enough. But the channel in Namibia is a fixed place with 500 meters marks and is more than 80 cm deep. August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month !

Jeudi 30 janvier, à 11h15, Sam Davies a franchi la ligne d’arrivée du Vendée Globe en 13e position après 80 jours, 22 heures et 13 minutes de course. Tout au long du parcours, et malgré quelques frustrations, Sam a une nouvelle fois partagé sa joie de vivre et son bonheur absolu d’être en mer. -
