For his 12th year Anniversary, the KPWT had a great season with the arrival of new kiteboarding stars. Congratulations to the new 2010 KPWT Overall World Champion, Antoine Auriol from France (Freestyle and Wave).
Antoine is the most talented and respectable rider in the kiteboarding world. This is his First World title. Now he’s an iconic global kiteboarding star, one of the best kiteboarder in the history of his sport and he became a KPWT World Champion forever !
Antoine Auriol : "I’m really happy to win the 2010 season, because I am following the KPWT since 7 years, and I have always been at the 3rd place... For me, every year has been fantastic, and I have seen along the years the evolution of kitesurfing. Competing also gave me the opportunity to open my mind, to visit a lot of wonderful places, and to learn a lot...

The British rider was in a league of her own throughout the Women’s Kite Medal Series, besting all opposition to take home the top prize. USA’s Daniela Moroz and the Netherlands’ Annelous Lammerts were the two athletes that progressed from the Semi-Finals, joining Aldridge and France’s Lauriane Nolot in the Final.

Kitefoil World Series Italy reached a crescendo of drama as the top 10 men and women contested the new Medal Series format in the south of Sardinia. Ultimately the pre-event favourites, Max Maeder and Lauriane Nolot, prevailed to win gold in the men’s and women’s events, although there were plenty of twists and turns along the way.
