SeaSailSurfer of December 2010 : Jeremy Flores
First European surfer to win of the Pipe Masters

Jeremy Flores has won the Billabong Pipe Master, the last event of the 2010 ASP World Tour. Defaiting Kelly Slater in the semis, is the first European surfer to win this great event, the first french to win an event in the ASP circuit. He is the SeaSailSurfer of December.
Flores has won in Hawaii his first event in the ASP World Tour. Now he is in the top ten of the best world surfers as he finishes 9th in the world rankings.

As the competition will be sailed aboard wingsailed catamarans, he made the trophy, and sport sailing competition, entering the third millenary. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month. -

August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month ! -

SeaSailSurfer of July 2010 : Alessandro di Benedetto
The Franco-Italian geologist of 39 years old Alessandro di Benedetto accomplished this July a solo round the world tour, without making stopover, on the race course of the Vendée Globe. He made it in 268 days on board a mini 650 and he is the SeaSailSurfer of July 2010.

« Un peu plus de 9 jours pour franchir l’équateur, ce n’est pas un score qui restera dans les annales » constatait Olivier de Kersauson à la vacation du jour. « Avec un bateau comme Geronimo, sans fanfaronner, on peut prétendre passer dans l’hémisphère sud en 6 jours. On a vécu un Pot au Noir horrible. -

Possible feu vert pour Orange samedi

Bruno Peyron l’a confirmé lors d’une conférence de presse tenue ce midi à Paris, Orange devrait être prêt pour repartir autour du monde dès la fin de la semaine. L’équipe de l’organisateur de The Race profitera d’une fenêtre météo favorable samedi midi pour partir aux trousses de Geronimo. -

image 300 x 150Mike Horn est parti aujourd’hui 26 février 2002 du Cap Arktichevsky, au nord de la Sibérie, pour la première partie de son expédition ARKTOS, qui le mènera à travers l’Arctique jusqu’au Pôle Nord. Sa marche jusqu’au Pôle devrait durer environ deux mois. -
