Francis Joyon and his 30m long trimaran Idec 2 have crossed the finishing line of the round the world record on Saturday January 19th at 23h39’58’’ GMT after 57 days and 13 hours. The french solo sailor breaks Ellen MacArthur’s previews record by 14 days ! 36 yeas after Alain Colas, he is three time faster than the trimaran Manureva.
