SeaSailSurfer of December 2008 : Michel Desjoyeaux
From last to 1st in the Vendée Globe

On December 3rd, Michel Desjoyeaux wasback in the top 10 of the Vendée Globe, 3 weeks after his second start from Les Sables d’Olonne. At the end of the month, he is the leader. Mich’Desj is the SeaSailSurfer of December.
SeaSailSurfer of September 2008 : Isabelle Joschke
Leg 3 winner in the single-handed race Cap Istanbul : At the end of September, Isabelle Joschke has won the third leg of the single-handed race Cap Istanbul from Nice to Istanbul. This is the first female win in the Figaro-Bénéteau offshore racing solo circuit. Well done for the rookie coming from the mini 650 circuit.
Leg 1 was won by Breton Eric Drouglazet. Leg 2 has been taken by Antonio Pedro Da Cruz who gave to Africa its first win in the offshore solo racing scene. And leg 3, from Marzamemi in Sicile to Aghios in Crete was Isabelle’s one. She took the lead after Thierry Chabagny in the south of the fleet and kept it for herself toward the finishing line as shjewas known to do in the mini circuit in the past four years.
This year, Isabelle is a rookie in the Figaro circuit. But she took experience from her previous réaces, in particular in the Course des Falaise where she discovered solo inshore racing against the top sailors of the circuit. This summer, she finished 30 for her 1rst appearance in the Solitaire du Figaro, take the third place of the rookies rankings. Also winner of the forst leg of the Transat 650 from France to Brazil in 2007, she has added now a new leg win to her brillant palmares and the first female one in the Figaro class. She is the SeaSailSurfer of september 2008.

689 votes made the SeaSailsurfers of 2010. The male winner is Thomas Ruyant, winner of the Route du Rhum in Class40. He did it one year after his win in the solo Transat 650. Jeremy Flores has won the Billabong Pipe Master, the last event of the 2010 ASP World Tour. Defaiting Kelly Slater in the semis, is the first European surfer to win this great event, the first french to win an event in the ASP circuit. He is the SeaSailSurfer of December. -

SeaSailSurfer of November 2010 : Thomas Ruyant
Don’t you have a feeling of dejà-vu ? Thomas Ruyant, hands up, with his fetish hat, arriving as a winner in a solo race ? Transat 650 2009 ? Yes. One yer after his win in the Mini-Transat, he has won the Route du Rhum. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month. -

SeaSailSurfer of October 2010 : Alex Caizergues
On said kitesurfing is not sailing. Other said the Luderitz Speed Challenge’ spot is not deep enough. But the channel in Namibia is a fixed place with 500 meters marks and is more than 80 cm deep. When kitesurfers and windsurfers sail there, there are truly in the spirit of the original Weymouth and Brest Speed Weekds. Their records are not (…) -

Russell Coutts, the boss of the american Defender, BMW Oracle Racing, has made younger the older sport trophy of the world. As the competition will be sailed aboard wingsailed catamarans, he made the trophy, and sport sailing competition, entering the third millenary. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month. -

SeaSailSurfer of August 2010 : Bertrand Delesne
August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month !

Les minis repartent en double dimanche
Les minis se retrouvent de nouveau à Tréboul, cette fois-ci avec deux marins à bord. 76 tandems sont inscrits pour la Mini-Fastnet édition 2009. Le double vainqueur de la course, Sam Manuard, participe à bord de son nouveau mini skippé par Bertrand Delesne. Vainqueur en 2003 et 2005, il détient aussi le record de l’épreuve en 3 jours 20 heures (…) -

Le championnat du Monde de Kitesurf aura lieu du 11 au 16 août 2009 à Dunkerque. Le Dunkerque Kitesurf Pro est organisé par le KPWT et le club Dunkerque Flysurfing Club. La compétition regroupera plus de 50 riders de haut niveau et plus de 10 nations. -

C’est à 3h57 Paris, que le Volvo Open 70 Ericsson 4 a franchi la ligne d’arrivée de Marstrand en Suède, accompagné sur l’eau puis au ponton par une foule de supporters. -

Soixante treize solitaires ont pris part, le 4 juin, au 6e Trophée MAP. Après moins de deux jours de course, le premier à revenir à Douarnenez est Stéphane Le Diraison, le skipper du proto Cultisol.
