Tanguy de Lamotte belongs to those who believed in Class40 from the beginning. He is rewarded for his efforts since he won, with Adrien Hardy, the first edition of the Solidaire du Chocolat.
SeaSailSurfer of April 2009 : Gildas Morvan
Winner of the solo Transat BPE. One do not remember than Gildas Morvan, the giant skipper of the Figaro circuit is also a match-racer. He has competed with Bertrand Pacé, was 7th in the world rakings in 1994 and took part in the America’s Cup in Marc Pajot’s crew. By winning the Transat BPE , he is the SeaSailSurfer of the month.
« My experience with Marc Pajot for the America’s Cup and in the Soling class helped me a lot. I kew the race would finish in a close neck. And I had this plus against the others… And this was helpfull in the close final match with Erwan. I knew what I had to do to control him, I was not lost… It helped me a lot, for sure » saif Gildas after his arriving in Marie-Galante.
Finaly, the Breton skipper takes the win for 4 minutes and 4 seconds. So bad for Erwan Tabarly who looks for a great win.

689 votes made the SeaSailsurfers of 2010. The male winner is Thomas Ruyant, winner of the Route du Rhum in Class40. He did it one year after his win in the solo Transat 650. And he is so popular he wins the title of SeaSailSurfer of the year ahead of the funboarder Antoine Albeau (Sailor of the year for the french federation) and ahead of (…) -

Jeremy Flores has won the Billabong Pipe Master, the last event of the 2010 ASP World Tour. Defaiting Kelly Slater in the semis, is the first European surfer to win this great event, the first french to win an event in the ASP circuit. He is the SeaSailSurfer of December. -

On said kitesurfing is not sailing. Other said the Luderitz Speed Challenge’ spot is not deep enough. But the channel in Namibia is a fixed place with 500 meters marks and is more than 80 cm deep. Russell Coutts, the boss of the american Defender, BMW Oracle Racing, has made younger the older sport trophy of the world. As the competition will be sailed aboard wingsailed catamarans, he made the trophy, and sport sailing competition, entering the third millenary. He is the SeaSailSurfer of the month. -

SeaSailSurfer of August 2010 : Bertrand Delesne
August 2010 was rich in events and performances. Many SeaSailSurfers made great performances. We will however retain Bertrand Delesne’s run in the second leg of race to the Azores. On his mini, he covered 304,90 miles in 24 hours. He is SeaSailSurfer of the month !

Le conseil de l’ISAF a confirmé lors d’un meeting qui s’est tenu à Qingdao en Chine ses choix de séries olympiques pour les Jeux de 2012. Les « vénérables anciens » de la fédération internationale de voile n’ont donc pas changé d’avis depuis novembre 2007. Ils suppriment le catamaran en double et donc le Tornado en tant que série olympique. -

Les records en solitaire ou en double sur un catamaran non habitable de 20 pieds maximum attirent de plus en plus de monde. Et en particulier les Italiens et les Français. Cette fois-ci, c’est Vittorio Malingri qui vient de friser l’exploit en traversant l’Atlantique en 13 jours et demi.
