Ils seront nombreux sur la ligne de départ dans la baie de Douarnenez Douarnenez #Douarnenez . Pas moins de 94 équipages se sont préinscrits pour la course annuelle. Si le record Record #sailingrecord de préinscrits date toujours de 1999 quand plus de 130 bateaux s’étaient engagés à prendre le départ de la Mini-Transat Mini-Transat #MiniTransat , cette fois-ci ce sont 188 navigateurs qui veulent participer à cette course express vers le Fastnet. Ils devraient d’ailleurs être 84 bateaux autorisés à s’élancer de Douarnenez Douarnenez #Douarnenez . Un grand succès pour cette course en double du calendrier 650.

Alors que beaucoup de concurrents de la prochaine Transat 650 vers le Brésil ont choisi de ne pas participer à la Mini-Pavois le mois dernier, il semble que tous les coureurs du circuit 650 2003 se sont donné rendez-vous à Douarnenez pour se disputer la victoire dans la plus grande course de la saison. On retrouvera Armel Tripon, Fred Duthil, Jonathan McKee, Brieuc Maisonneuve, entre autres, parmi les premiers vainqueurs de la saison. Mais il y aussi tous les concurrents qui viennent des courses du sud et ceux qui doivent terminer une course en 2003 pour valider leur inscription à la Transat 650. Il y a encore, tous les navigateurs qui n’ont pas la Transat 650 comme objectif et régatent activement sur un voilier de 6,50 mètres de long.

Une course à suivre de près pour voir quels sont les bateaux, prototypes ou de série, qui sont déjà les mieux préparés pour le grand saut en solitaire vers le Brésil à la fin de l’année.
